Have you ever run into the situation where you baked some fresh muffins, or just baked a cake, and you want to add a vegan icing onto it, but don't know a vegan icing recipe? Well, using this perfectly balanced sweet icing you can enjoy some icing on your baked goods. If you desired you can pipe out the icing and place it in the fridge to firm up onto the baked good.
This vegan cream cheese icing was a roller coaster ride. I first used yogurt to make this icing, because I didn't had any cream cheese. I taught it would work. The day came when I made it. I used put everything into the bowl and mixed everything up. I also add some lemon juice. After making the icing we spread it on our cinnamon bun (recipe coming soon) and it didn't taste the way I expected it to be.
I had a lot of problems with this icing. After a trip to the store, we bought some vegan cream cheese. A few days later I made the icing with the cream cheese. The result was AMAZING. It was sticky, gooey and sweet. This vegan cream cheese icing was totally worth it! I'd never use yogurt again.
Can The Vegan Cream Cheese Icing Recipe Be Tweaked?
Yes, you may add some beet powder, ginger powder, matcha powder, or cacao powder and on and on, but there are a few things to keep in mind. When tweaking the recipe you may have to add more sugar if you are adding cacao powder. The coloring may also not last as long over time.
