Everyone in my family love this recipe. This hazelnut chocolate loaf is outstanding for breakfast or as a snack. The hazelnuts give it that crunch. A layer of chocolate on the top has a rich flavour. The ginger also gives that spicy kick to it. This hazelnut loaf is perfect with a hot cup of tea. Enjoy!

Recipe: 

1 cup light spelt

1 cup whole spelt

1 cup ground hazelnuts

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

2/3 cup coconut sugar

2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp clove powder

1/2 tsp allspice powder

2 tsp ginger powder

2 tsp apple cider vinegar

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup almond milk

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/3 cup olive oil

1/2 cup apple sauce

2 tbsp hemp seeds

2/4 cup crystallized ginger

100g semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tsp coconut oil

2 tbsp chopped hazelnuts

1 tsp course sea salt
